I am merely a traveler, meandering about in the dark of night,
under the midnight sky, my eyes find a familiar light:
the first spark of an illusion I once felt with you.
The allure of the stars meet my gaze,
Blinking frames of moments,
Photons flashing images of our romance,
Of the dances we share through the skies.
A superterrestrial force gravitates me towards you,
Into your radiant warmth while circling through our orbits.
The scalding flares of the star engulfs any threat,
Preserving the reminiscence of us to never be forgotten,
Nestling our memories in its core,
Stringing themselves up into webs of constellations –
An ethereal outline of our love escapades.
Yet, the array of stars were far too brilliant to last.
With a glare burning as bright as the sun,
Far too brilliant to ever be true…
The beautiful mirage of my mind’s creation shatters,
Manifesting a supernova of the pseudo-stars.
A violent means to an end,
A passionate kiss farewell
Before the warm starlight dims
Into the cold vacuum of empty space.
