Echolalia accepts applications for three notable roles that are crucial in our process:

Contributor

• Applications received in early Fall and Winter quarters

• Submits creative work in accordance with guidelines

• Commitment for
one quarter, primarily (Fall or Winter)

• Works with assigned editor over quarter to polish submission

Editor

• Applications typically received only in early Fall quarter

• Submits application of editing interest

• Commitment for two quarters (Fall and Winter)

• Works with two assigned contributors over two quarters

Print Team

• Applications received in early Winter quarter

• Submits application of design interest and optional portfolio

• Commitment for two quarters (Winter and Spring)

• Works on a few page designs for journals with help from team

Please note that these roles are not mutually exclusive, i.e. you can apply through their respective applications and be accepted for one, two, or all three, if there are openings.

To mitigate concerns of bias or favoritism, Echolalia participates in a “double-blind” application review process for submissions. We are interested in giving every piece an equal evaluation, and we take pride in our careful and unbiased reviewing.
